IEC Florida West Coast is looking for experienced electricians who want to give back to the trade, share their real-world knowledge, and help train the next generation of skilled electricians through our nationally recognized apprenticeship program.
Whether you're a seasoned Journeyman, Master Electrician, foreman, superintendent, or business owner, this is your opportunity to leave a legacy while earning extra income.
Earn $40 per hour.

No Teaching Experience? No Problem.
You do not need prior teaching experience.
We provide:

Schedule
- Two evenings per week
- Classes meet from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Follows the academic apprenticeship calendar
- Designed specifically for working industry professionals

Opportunities are currently available at:
- Pinellas Technical College – Clearwater
- Hillsborough College – Plant City
- Hillsborough College – Ybor City (formerly Hillsborough Community College)
- Marchman Technical College
- Online Instruction Opportunities Available
Teach at one location or multiple locations based on your availability.
What You'll Do
- Teach and mentor electrical apprentices using the National IEC Curriculum
- Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction
- Reinforce safety, professionalism, and industry best practices
- Share real-world field experiences that bring the curriculum to life
- Encourage and mentor apprentices as they advance in their careers
Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of electrical field experience
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency
