Summary: The Assistant Retail Banking Manager supports the Retail Banking Manager in daily operations, focusing on customer service, staff supervision, sales, and operational compliance. Key responsibilities include managing staff and performance, ensuring adherence to bank policies and regulations, assisting with customer inquiries and complex transactions, and serving as a keyholder and manager-on-duty when the Retail Banking Manager is absent.

Essential Job Functions

Demonstrate Legacy Bank and Trust corporate values in all situations and interactions.

Assist clients with inquiries and complex transactions (cash handling, balancing of drawers, vaults, coin machine, etc.).

Achieve branch sales goals and contribute to profitability.

Supervise retail staff members.

Provide coaching, training, and feedback to retail staff to improve their skills to meet goals.

Assist in the hiring process and employee performance issues.

Ensure the smooth execution of daily branch operations and compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Manage cash levels in the vault and teller drawers and handle cash ordering and issuance.

Oversee the branch's inventory of supplies and equipment.

Serve as the Retail Banking Manager's right-hand person, supporting strategic initiatives and operational planning.

Act as a keyholder, open and close the branch, and manage it in the Retail Banking Manager's absence.

Consistently provide exceptional customer service and appropriately manage client complaints.

Coordinate with other departments and act as a liaison between the branch and other company functions.

Complete all required training.
