Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. The Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing a warm, stimulating classroom environment that encourages children ages 1-3 years old to explore, learn, and thrive. This role requires strong classroom management skills, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to partner effectively with assistant teachers and families to support each child’s development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience for all students.
- Provide care for children during daily activities, including meals, nap times, and outdoor play.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and individual progress reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and students.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
