Bear Buddies Child Development Center is a privately owned organization founded in 1991 for the primary purpose of providing high-quality developmental childcare, which offers a nurturing, loving environment and developmental curriculum for young children.

We are excited to offer a Lead Teacher position to just the right candidate that is excited and prepared to be a teacher to young children and is able to meet the licensing requirements of the licensing agency. This individual will have a personality that embraces both the sensitivity and maturity attributes that will relate well to both children and peers, creating leadership and stability within the program!
Requirements:
- Completion of a minimum of 3 WI state licensing books. Intro to Child Care, Skills and Strategies, Fundamentals of Infants and Toddlers

Responsibilities:
- Working with children 3 and 4 years old.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for children which meet all the licensing regulations.
- Communicate with fellow staff members, parents, management team and upper management to assure continuity and unity throughout the company.
- Know licensing regulations and Bear Buddies policy as stated in the provided handbooks.
- Exhibit enthusiasm, energy and positive attitude towards children, staff and parents.
- Meet all teacher licensing qualifications.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and neatness of the center and play areas specifically watching for safety hazards.
- Planning, supervising, and implementing the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school.
- Model behaviors of dignity and respect for all children and staff.
- Collaborate with team on maintaining office, entry, and hall décor by keeping current and appealing.
- Field enrollment questions by answering questions and encouraging parents through the guidelines in our parent handbook.
- Assist in marketing through tours, answering phone inquiries and suggesting promotional ideas.
- Brainstorming and promotion of new ideas to boost enrollment.
- Support staff members by relieving staff or filling in when necessary.
- Field trip prep and planning.
- Miscellaneous office tasks as needed.
- Keeping supplies ordered and stocked up.
- Constantly supporting a flow of communication with the Director to keep them updated on new or current developments or decisions that need to be made.
- Support policies, decisions, and directives of the Director of Administration.
- Assist the Director in explaining the program to visitors.
- Assisting the Director in teaching-training activities and teach demonstrations.
- Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs and being responsible for one in-service/staff meeting per school year.
- Attend meetings and conferences of professional organizations appropriate for nursery school educators, sometimes as a representative of the school in place of the Director.
- Assist in public relations events sponsored by the school.
- Be open to perform other duties as needed as required.
