Job Overview
The Night Cleaner will perform a variety of cleaning tasks with precision and efficiency, contributing to the smooth operation of our facility’s maintenance team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in creating spotless spaces, this opportunity is perfect for you!
Location 1: 15 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 7PM - 10PM
Location 2: 25 hours a week from Monday to Friday from 5PM - 10PM (Must be available weekends from 8 PM - 11 PM)
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning procedures, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety protocols to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Use janitorial tools and equipment effectively to ensure high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are met consistently.
- Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning materials.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supplies used, and safety checks to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and safety regulations.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment during night shifts.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles, with familiarity in industrial or residential cleaning environments preferred.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling procedures and sanitation standards to ensure safe and effective cleaning practices.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas.
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts without supervision.
- Good communication skills for reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
