PRN MEDICAL ASSISTANT FOR STAFF ABSENCES-

We are looking for a reliable, professional PRN Medical Assistant to join our on-call pool to assist with coverage during staff vacations, planned time off, and peak volume days.Job Summary:This is an as-needed (PRN) position with no guaranteed weekly hours. It is the perfect opportunity for nursing/pre-med students, medical assistants seeking supplemental income, or experienced professionals looking to maintain clinical skills on a flexible schedule. You will be contacted in advance to cover planned absences or occasionally on short notice for clinic emergencies.Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination by escorting them to rooms, taking accurate vital signs, and verifying current medication lists.
- Complete the standard patient intake and rooming process efficiently to maintain steady clinic workflow.
- Document clinical data accurately within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
- Communicate with patients, providers, and team members with the utmost respect, professionalism, and courtesy.
Qualifications:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred, or equivalent clinical experience (e.g., nursing student with clinical rotation experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an outpatient clinic setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to keep patient check-ins on schedule.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a team-first attitude.
