Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Appliance Installer Subcontractor to join our dynamic field service team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering, installing, and troubleshooting a wide range of appliances directly at customer locations. Your expertise will ensure that each installation is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities
- Safely transport appliances and equipment to customer sites using company or personal vehicles such as box trucks or vans.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and installation manuals to accurately install appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and HVAC units.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble, connect, and secure appliances according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and HVAC issues during installation or repair processes to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and operational checks on appliances to identify potential issues before they become problems.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining appliance features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction upon completion of each job.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, parts used, and any follow-up actions required.
Experience
- Proven experience in appliance installation or service technician roles with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical work.
- Familiarity with reading schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical manuals related to appliance systems such as refrigeration or HVAC units.
- Experience operating company vehicles like box trucks or similar delivery/field service vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques for appliance assembly and troubleshooting.
- Background in maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), with knowledge of plumbing systems when installing appliances requiring water connections.
- Previous experience in field service environments involving delivery driving or on-site technical support is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of electrical experience including wiring connections and electrical troubleshooting for appliances or HVAC systems.
- Must be able to pull permits for dishwashers and gas appliances
- Must have own truck and Insurance
