POSITION PURPOSE: Assists with the provision of rehabilitation services for persons in recovery from chemical dependency. Technicians are not responsible for admitting, transferring, or discharging clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Efficient work planning
- Maintains a current knowledge of house and client activities.
- Plans work tasks to coincide with house schedules.
- Sets priorities in monitoring client activities, making house rounds, adherence to medication times, documentation of pertinent information and completion of other assignments.
- Available to clients for questions and other assistance.

- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of program philosophy, goals and policies and procedures, and house expectations and functions.

Attendance/Punctuality
- Adheres to attendance / absence policies. Punctual in reporting for work and shift change reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of Human Services Technician Training Program, previous experience in human services and / or healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated skills in areas related to chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation, including :
- knowledge and understanding of Rule 31 9530.6405 to 9530.6505, and Minnesota Statutes, sections 245A.04,245A.65, 626.556, and 626.557
- knowledge of basic health assessment procedures
- ability to perform basic client care functions, including monitoring client hygiene and behavior as it relates to health issues.
- Direct experience with chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation, preferably a minimum of one year experience.
- Documentation of one year freedom from chemicals. ( if applicable)
- Must be eighteen years old.
- CPR / 1stAid / Medication certified or equivalent.
