JB Industries, a leading manufacturer of refrigeration tools and accessories, is seeking a high-potential, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is designed as a development track toward a future Controller position, offering broad exposure across accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and HR support in a collaborative, mid-sized manufacturing environment.
This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and provides hands-on experience with both financial and people-related processes—ideal for a motivated professional looking to accelerate into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset records and manage depreciation schedules
- Process and oversee payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
- Assist with sales and use tax filings, property tax reporting, and corporate tax support
- Contribute to accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Prepare and support monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Assist with bank compliance and reporting requirements
- Support HR-related activities, including:
- Payroll coordination and employee data accuracy
- Benefits administration support and reporting
- Assistance with onboarding/offboarding processes
- Maintaining employee records and compliance documentation
- Partner with plant operations and collaborate directly with the CFO on financial and operational initiatives
Growth & Development Opportunity

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with payroll processing, HR coordination, and tax compliance/filing
- ERP system experience preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Desire to grow into a leadership role within accounting/finance
