Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the implementation of behavioral interventions and therapeutic strategies tailored to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Your expertise will help foster meaningful progress and improve quality of life for our clients through evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA). Duties
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized behavior intervention plans based on comprehensive assessments.
- Collect, analyze, and document behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to track progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support direct supervision of clients during therapy sessions, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols while maintaining a positive and engaging environment.
- Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), educators, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure consistency across services.
- Conduct intake assessments and contribute to diagnostic evaluations by gathering relevant behavioral information from clients and families.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, session logs, and compliance records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate families and caregivers on behavioral strategies, data collection methods, and progress updates to promote generalization of skills outside therapy sessions.
Experience
- Valid BCaBA certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Experience in conducting behavioral assessments, data collection, and analyzing behavioral trends.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and medical records management is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards related to medical documentation and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, team members, and healthcare providers.
