Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed service orders and estimates using estimating software, ensuring clarity and accuracy
- Communicate effectively with service technicians about vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and parts required
- Promote upselling of additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, or brake repairs to enhance customer value
- Maintain clear client communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and explaining repair options
- Manage cash handling, invoicing, and processing payments efficiently and accurately
- Collaborate with mechanics to review repair procedures, estimate times, and ensure quality standards are met
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools and knowledge of mechanical systems—including transmissions, suspensions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts—to assist in accurate estimating
- Support dealership or shop operations by managing appointments, scheduling repairs, and maintaining organized records of all transactions
- Drive continuous improvement by staying informed about automotive repair trends and expanding your knowledge of estimating software and service management practices
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a service technician or in automotive repair environments
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients of diverse backgrounds
- Experience with dealership operations or collision repair environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts, air brakes, diesel engine repairs, and auto body repair
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Familiarity with auto service management processes such as estimating procedures and vehicle maintenance workflows
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for test drives or vehicle inspections when necessary
- Cash handling experience coupled with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: $65,207.96 - $78,530.02 per year
