Novus Technical Services is seeking an experienced Field Engineer / Project Engineer – Electrical & Controls to support construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities at a Semiconductor Project in Taylor, Texas.
This role serves as a key interface between engineering, project management, and field installation teams to ensure electrical, instrumentation, controls, and communications systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with project requirements.
- Competitive salary: starting at $95,000 annually, depending on experience

Opportunity to work on one of the largest semiconductor construction projects in North America
- Coordinate with Engineering Managers, System Leads, Project Managers, and field personnel to support electrical and controls installation activities

Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

Ensure field teams have current and accurate engineering deliverables

Support installation, testing, startup, and commissioning of electrical and controls systems

Review field modifications and maintain redline and as-built documentation

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to construction teams

Assist project leadership with progress reporting and schedule updates

Support turnover and commissioning documentation packages

Evaluate constructability issues and provide practical field solutions

Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, client representatives, and engineering teams
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred

Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction or engineering experience
