Duties
- Meat preparation: weighing and mixing ground meat with spices and seasonings according to our recipes.
- Machine operation:operating equipment such as our smoker, meat grinders, mixers, tumblers, and stuffing machines.
- Sausage filling:stuffing the meat mixture into casings.
- Finishing:monitoring cooking and smoking processes.
- Quality control: performing quality checks on ingredients and final products, and ensuring adherence to recipes and schedules.
- Sanitation and maintenance: cleaning equipment, maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, and following all safety and sanitation procedures.
Skills
- Physical stamina: ability to lift heavy objects up to 50-60 lbs.
- Attention to detail: precision in measuring ingredients and following recipes.
- Food safety knowledge: understanding and adherence to food safety regulations and proper handling techniques.
- Problem-solving: ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the production process.
- Teamwork: ability to work effectively with other team members and supervisors.
