Forge Hospitality is seeking a high-performing General Manager to lead operations at our Holiday Inn in Morgantown. This role is both hands-on and strategic, responsible for driving guest satisfaction, team performance, and strong financial results while maintaining IHG brand standards. The General Manager will partner closely with ownership and Forge leadership to execute business strategy, elevate service culture, and ensure the property operates efficiently and profitably.

Oversee daytoday hotel operations across all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance/Engineering, and Food & Beverage.

Drive guest satisfaction and manage service recovery to protect brand reputation and improve performance metrics (guest scores, reviews, QA).

Recruit, train, coach, and develop department leaders and team members; establish accountability and a resultsdriven culture.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense controls to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards, safety procedures, and all local/state/federal regulations.

Maintain a strong preventative maintenance culture and coordinate capital projects in collaboration with ownership/management.

Partner with Sales/Revenue (as applicable) to execute strategies that optimize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.

Establish and maintain effective vendor relationships; manage purchasing and cost controls.

Review operational and financial reports regularly; use insights to implement improvements and drive performance.

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent; 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

4+ years of hotel General Manager experience preferred (selectservice experience strongly preferred; IHG experience a plus).

Strong working knowledge of hotel operations, guest service standards, and labor management.

Proven ability to lead teams, improve performance metrics, and deliver strong financial results.

Experience with brand audits, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication, problemsolving, and organizational skills with a guestfirst mindset.

Proficiency with hotel systems (PMS experience required; Opera systems a plus).

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends/holidays as needed.
