Entry-Level Field Service Technician

Jones Networking is recruiting for an Entry-Level Field Service Technician to join a growing international manufacturing company in Charlotte, NC. This position has a structured career path. The ideal candidate will begin by supporting the company's Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process, develop in-house technical expertise, and ultimately grow into a customer-facing Field Service Technician role.
Entry-Level Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Manage the RMA process by receiving, inspecting, and evaluating returned products.
- Perform hands-on diagnostics and troubleshooting of AC, DC, and EC fan and motor systems to identify root causes of product failures.
- Document repair findings, service records, and technical information within the company's ERP and quality management systems.
- Assist with identifying product trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and supplier-related concerns.
- Provide technical support for customer inquiries and assist with troubleshooting product performance issues.
- Develop expertise across the company's product portfolio through hands-on training and technical support activities.
- Progress into an in-house technical support role before advancing into a Field Service Technician position.
- Travel to customer sites, as needed, to perform equipment diagnostics, repairs, commissioning, and technical support after completing the company's training program.
- Represent the company professionally while delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
Entry-Level Field Service Technician Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher in Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience working with electromechanical equipment, industrial machinery, HVAC systems, motors, controls, or related equipment.
- Background in electrical systems with mechanical aptitude, or mechanical systems with foundational electrical knowledge.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems or quality management software is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work within a warehouse and testing environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused with a desire to learn and grow within a technical career.

Pay: $26.89 - $32.38 per hour
