Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Full Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), where you'll play a vital role in enhancing patient recovery and independence. As a key member of the therapy team, you will assist licensed occupational therapists in delivering personalized care plans that improve quality of life for patients of all ages. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and mobility exercises.
- Provide hands-on therapy interventions in various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits.
- Help develop and modify care plans based on patient progress and therapist guidance.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities and strategies to promote independence at home or in the community.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions, progress notes, and treatment records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including understanding medical imaging reports, physiology concepts, and anatomy knowledge relevant to therapy.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
- Prior experience assisting with ADLs and providing therapy in home health, acute care, inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing facility settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medical imaging relevant to occupational therapy practice.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
- Strong understanding of care planning processes and ability to adapt interventions accordingly.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to supporting recovery and independence.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
