About Us: Oil on Linen, located inside the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, is a restaurant that focuses on the harmony between food and art. With an evolving menu that centers themes and artists from the museum’s exhibition calendar, we aim to provide our guests with a unique experience during each meal.
We work with the museum to provide catering for weddings, corporate functions, and community events. We also host in-house private events and off-site catering. We are looking to add an experienced event coordinator to our team!
Job Description: The Event Catering Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of in-house and Kemper Special Events. The Event Coordinator works with clients directly and also works in concert with the Kemper Special Events Director and the team at Oil on Linen to plan and execute a variety of events.
Compensation & Benefits:
$22-$25 / hour plus tips for Day-Of Coordination
Part Time to Full Time (25-40 hours / week)

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute events for In-House and Kemper Museum Special Events, including:
- Guide and maintain communication with clients from beginning to end of the event process.
- Gather information directly from client or Museum Special Events coordinator. Provide client with an initial estimate.
- Work with the client and Kemper Museum Special Events department to facilitate menu planning based on the current catering menu and special requests.
- Keep track of multiple events while maintaining event planning timelines and deadlines. Add and update events on the shared Google Calendar.
- Update event sheets in the shared Google Drive to include event timelines, rental information, pricing, menu and other pertinent details. Communicate changes and client requests to the General Manager and kitchen team.
- Aggregate & print pertinent information (floorplans, timelines and menus) for Day-Of Staff to reference. Execute events alongside Kemper Special Event Manager or FOH Manager.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience event planning and execution
- 3-5+ years client interface and/or customer service experience
- Strong ability to work within a team
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Experience with Google Workspace
