About the Role
Hooters is seeking a dynamic, results-driven General Manager to lead all aspects of operations at our Savannah location. This position is responsible and accountable for the overall success of the restaurant, including driving sales and profitability, developing managers and team members, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest and employee experiences.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for hospitality, team development, and operational execution. As General Manager, you will oversee the entire restaurant operation while maintaining the integrity of the Hooters brand and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, training, marketing, risk management, administration, and merchandising.
- Supervise, coach, develop, and mentor Assistant General Managers, Assistant Managers, Kitchen Managers, and hourly team members.
- Ensure compliance with all Hooters operating standards, food safety requirements, receiving and storage procedures, and guest safety protocols.
- Maintain exceptional standards for cleanliness, atmosphere, guest interactions, service execution, and overall restaurant presentation.
- Monitor restaurant performance through daily, weekly, and monthly operational reviews and reporting.
- Manage labor, payroll, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and product par levels to maximize operational efficiency.
- Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching, employee development, and performance management initiatives.
- Participate in employee disciplinary processes and support a culture of accountability and professional conduct.
- Drive profitability and sales growth through budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and effective cost controls.
- Ensure proper cash handling, reconciliation, and control of restaurant funds and negotiable assets.
- Support and execute local marketing initiatives to build sales and brand awareness.
- Resolve guest and employee concerns professionally while fostering a positive work environment.
- Lead by example, uphold company values, and communicate operational priorities effectively across all levels of the restaurant.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or multi-unit restaurant leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, labor management, inventory control, and financial performance metrics.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) statements. Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
- Ability to handle highly charged situations with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook and related business applications.
- Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service regulations.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work full-time as required by applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
