Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Part-Time as Needed Maintenance Technician to support our facilities and operational needs. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently across various systems.
Responsibilities
The Part-Time as Needed Maintenance Technician will provide general maintenance support for five residential homes located in the Albertville/Marshall County area, as well as the main office. This position will function similarly to a contract employee and will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests, completing assigned work orders, and ensuring upkeep of the facilities. The Maintenance Technician is expected to communicate regularly with the Director regarding ongoing requests, completed work, and any concerns that arise. This individual must be organized, dependable, able to manage multiple requests, and proactive in staying on top of assigned tasks. All work orders are expected to be completed within five (5) business days from the date they are submitted unless otherwise communicated and approved by the Director. The Maintenance Technician should maintain clear communication regarding timelines, delays, needed materials, or any issues preventing completion. Typical maintenance responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Patching holes or minor repairs to drywall
- Unclogging drains and addressing basic plumbing concerns
- Assembling furniture or equipment
- Changing LED light bulbs and completing basic electrical-related tasks
- General repairs, upkeep, and troubleshooting
- Completing other maintenance requests as needed
The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance experience or a general maintenance background, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining communication with leadership. This role requires someone who is reliable, organized, responsive, and committed to helping maintain safe, functional, and welcoming environments for the individuals and staff supported within each location.
