BCCS is Seeking a Full-time Intake Counselor for our First Stop DUI Program!
Are you eager to assist a client through their Mental Health and Substance Use recovery process in an outpatient therapeutic setting? We are seeking DUI Intake Counselor to provide supportive person-centered counseling services to individuals in a compassionate way. Please look at the highlights below:
What You'll Do At BCCS:

Is responsible for creating a welcoming and healing environment by providing quality, sufficient and appropriate clinical services and maintaining high professional standards.

Complete required evaluations and assessments.

Is responsible for completing all intake/assessments on these referrals.

Document all clinical services and interventions performed within the clients ‘electronic record.

Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Is responsible for retrieving and scheduling all FSD referrals from the DUI tracking system.

Confer with the Clinical Supervisor on a daily basis for casing.

Participates in weekly treatment team meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
Knowledge of Drug and alcohol treatment clinical practices.

Knowledge of population being served and available resources

Ability to evaluate and screen clients for appropriate treatment and document progress of client

May require crisis intervention to emergency situations

Skill in establishing rapport with clients

Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Requirements:
Qualifications for the position are:
-
Minimum of an associate degree with CADC, or bachelor's degree
-
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field
-
REQUIRED: 1 year experience in the Substance Abuse Field and/or Mental Health
-
Within 2 years, must have obtained certification as CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor).
Salary:

From $20/hour
