CAPIC is accepting internal applications for the position of LIHEAP Program Manager.
The LIHEAP Program Manager will assist with the day-to-day management, coordination, and supervision of the LIHEAP Program. This position will support program operations, staff supervision, compliance, reporting, client services, and communication with vendors, funders, and community partners. The Program Manager will also work closely with Fuel Assistance Certifiers to support accurate and timely application processing.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, public administration, business administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent related work experience may be considered.
- Supervisory or lead experience required.
- Experience in LIHEAP, fuel assistance, community action, human services, or programs serving low-income populations preferred.
- Experience with program compliance, reporting, client services, and database systems preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of human service program operations, client services, compliance, and reporting.
- Ability to collect, review, and interpret program data.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to supervise, coach, and support staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, funders, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in high-volume and high-stress situations.
- Ability to lead staff through high-volume seasonal program periods while maintaining accuracy and client service standards.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
- Must pass a CORI check within 30 days of employment.
- Must be able to travel for meetings and conferences related to the LIHEAP Program as needed.
Pay: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
