Sweetopia is looking for energetic, friendly, and dependable team members to join our growing ice cream shop in downtown Blacksburg! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, creating memorable customer experiences, and serving delicious treats, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Scoop and serve ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes, and other menu items.
- Operate the cash register and accurately process customer transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area.
- Restock toppings, cones, cups, and other supplies throughout the shift.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work as a team to provide exceptional customer service and keep the shop running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Friendly, positive, and customer-focused personality.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Weekend and evening availability preferred.
- Previous food service or customer service experience is a plus but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
