CMVC is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and student-focused Practical Nursing (PN) Instructor to join our growing nursing faculty in Fort Lauderdale. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about developing future nurses while maintaining the highest standards of academic excellence, compliance, and student success.
Position Summary
The Practical Nursing Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction that prepares students for successful careers in nursing. This position requires a commitment to student achievement, regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
- Ensure compliance with state, accreditation, and institutional policies.
- Supervise students during clinical rotations while promoting safe patient care.
- Mentor and support students throughout their educational journey.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and curriculum improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with academic leadership to promote student retention and success.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and educational standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and support diverse learners.
