Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Children's Care Providers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, along with a strong understanding of caregiving principles. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families through personalized care and support.
Duties
- Assist children with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene management
- Monitor and record vital signs and health status regularly
- Administer medications as prescribed following proper protocols
- Support behavioral management strategies to promote positive behavior and emotional well-being
- Provide emotional support and engage children in age-appropriate activities to foster development
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met
- Use EMR systems for documentation of care activities and progress notes
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the residence, including light cleaning duties
- Support mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Drive children to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation practices
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to coordinate care plans
- Follow all safety protocols related to assisted living, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and other specialized needs
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, home & community care, or group home settings preferred
- Knowledge of children with special needs, behavioral issues, ADHD, Autism, ODD, Depression, Anxiety, Intermit explosive disorder, etc.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience with medication administration and vital signs monitoring preferred
- Ability to assist with ADLs and personal care tasks effectively and compassionately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with children with disabilities or developmental challenges
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties preferred
- Experience working with people with disabilities or behavioral management skills beneficial
- Knowledge of EMR systems is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours in a caring environment committed to safety and quality of life for residents

Pay: $20.00 per hour
