We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and technical skills, a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Inspect, test, and calibrate machinery to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, completing repairs in a timely manner to support production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
- Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to identify recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and maintenance standards.
- Maintain an organized work area and inventory of tools, spare parts, and supplies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including preventive maintenance schedules and process enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair (manufacturing, CNC, or production equipment a plus).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and reading machine controls.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform hands-on repair tasks as needed.
