Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Shop and Sales Assistant to join our dynamic retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to enhance their shopping experience
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable options to increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized on shelves
- Handle stock replenishment, inventory management, and accurate stock counting using retail math skills
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting remote customers
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity during cashiering duties
- Support the technician when assistance is needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service
- Move or unload trailers as needed
- Operate forklift throughout the shift for multiple duties.
- Perform basic trailer repair as needed
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in automotive or trailers.
- Experience in trailer or automotive repair required.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette are essential
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques will set you apart
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail sales best practices is advantageous
- Experience operating a forklift is required.
