Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable and passionate Cook/Chef to create nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents. This position is responsible for meal preparation, menu planning, kitchen organization, inventory management, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. ***Outstanding candidates who demonstrate excellent leadership and experience may be allowed to request a higher wage, subject to Rivers of Life's sole discretion.***
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality meals, snacks and special diets.
- Plan menus and maintain excellent food quality and presentation.
- Manage food inventory, ordering, storage and rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food service regulations.
- Assist with dining service, special events, and resident activities.
- Work closely with caregivers, nurses, and leadership to provide an exceptional dining experience..
Requirements
- Commercial cooking experience preferred.
- Senior living, assisted living, memory care, or healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow recipes, dietary requirements, and food safety standards.
- Passion for serving seniors and creating enjoyable dining experiences.
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
