Relief Home Care Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN-Overnight Personal Care Aide/ In-Home Aide or CNA to join our team in providing exceptional care to individuals in a variety of residential and community settings. As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital part in supporting residents’ daily needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity through personalized care and attentive monitoring. Duties
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Provide toileting and incontinence care as needed
- Assist with safe mobility and transfers as permitted by the care plan
- Provide companionship and supervision
- Maintain a clean and safe client environment
- Observe and report changes in the client's condition
- Follow the client's plan of care and agency policies
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary plans, and assist with feeding as needed to support optimal health
- Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques for safe mobility assistance
- Maintain cleanliness of resident living areas through light cleaning duties, ensuring a hygienic environment
- Document care provided, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with team members about residents’ needs and progress
- Support residents with neurodevelopmental disorders or dementia by implementing specialized memory care strategies and Alzheimer’s/dementia care techniques
- Follow all safety procedures including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and proper use of patient transfer equipment
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is essential
- Experience with Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities enhances your suitability for this role
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling skills
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required or must be obtained upon hire
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably while maintaining high standards of patient personal care assistance
