Job Title: Sandwich Maker / CashierJob Summary
We are looking for a friendly, dependable Sandwich Maker / Cashier to prepare fresh food items, handle customer transactions, and provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask while maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sandwiches, wraps, and other menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Greet customers, take orders accurately, and answer menu-related questions
- Operate cash register or POS system and handle cash, credit, and digital payments
- Maintain cleanliness of prep areas, dining areas, and workstations
- Stock ingredients, supplies, and monitor inventory levels
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines at all times
- Handle special orders and dietary requests when possible
- Work efficiently with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus for managing inventory effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- A passion for culinary arts and creating quality food products is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
