Established Columbia Family Law firm seeks Associate with 3-7 years family law litigation experience pacticing primarily in Montgomery County with an ability to manage cases independently to join our team‑oriented practice. This position is structured as a hybrid role, offering a balance of in‑office collaboration and remote work flexibility. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a family law caseload involving divorce, custody, child support, property division, and related matters
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with a high level of accuracy
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Participate in team strategy discussions and contribute to a collaborative work environment
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing
- Minimum of 2–5 years of focused family law experience
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and client‑centered service
