Job Summary
Diab Americas is hiring a Maintenance Storeroom Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for the issuing of parts, supplies, and other items to all departments within the company. The Maintenance Storeroom Clerk purchases and receives MRO materials and other miscellaneous items for the facility, maintains the spare parts storeroom, including ensuring proper inventory levels, count accuracy, and up to date item descriptions, and performs tracking and reporting of various functions of the maintenance department, and performs other tasks as directed to support the maintenance department functions. This position will also be accountable for the maintenance of inventory levels and cycle counts within the tool crib. Clerks receive inventory into the storeroom system and stock the parts or supplies onto the racks using sit-down electric forklifts.
Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:30PM, overtime as required.
Salary: Negotiable, depending upon relevant experience.
Academic Requirements: High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all aspects of MRO purchasing. Includes properly preparing requisitions, blanket orders, and completing the purchasing process.
- Coordinates spare part procurement, expedites flow of materials & assemblies according to maintenance schedules. Maintains status of materials or parts, follows up on status of deliveries, expedites as necessary.
- Works with vendors to obtain best product, availability, and cost.
- Complies with and maintains manual or computer records such as material & parts inventory, status and location. May move or transport materials or parts.
- Performs all aspects of MRO receiving. Includes examining incoming materials, verification of proper item and quantity for receiving & completion of transaction.
- Maintain inventory system, store parts as received, maintain accurate item counts, perform cycle counts, ensure inventory remains organized and labeled, and maintain up to date part descriptions in database.
- Tracks purchase expenses and reports regularly on the status of those expenses.
- Tracks and reports on other items determined by departmental and personal metrics.
- Works closely with and provides support for the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Technicians as needed.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Experience in an internal customer service or storeroom related role a plus.
- Experience using warehouse management systems to track, verify, and re-stock inventory.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screens.
- Ability to climb ladders and work from heights.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Forklift certification, or ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Ability to operate a computer; Experience using Microsoft Office products a plus.
- Valid driver's license; Ability to drive company vehicle.
- Ability to maintain a safe and orderly work environment throughout shift and assist in maintaining other areas when required
- Ability to understand and comply with company policies, PPE, and Health & Safety requirements
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to maintain attendance in accordance with company attendance policies.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
