AVIR at Alice is seeking compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join our rehabilitation team. We are currently hiring for Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.
Our in-house rehabilitation program provides an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with residents, families, nursing staff, and other rehabilitation professionals to help residents achieve their highest level of functional independence.
Position Responsibilities
Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
Provide skilled occupational therapy services in accordance with residents' needs and established care plans.
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, coordination, ADLs, and functional independence.
Monitor and document residents' progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Collaborate with PTs, PTAs, COTAs, SLPs, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, safety, and home exercise programs.
Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting is preferred.
Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.
