Job Details:
- Develops, coaches, counsels, and directs within Pharmacy personnel.
- Fulfills roles of pharmacy manager when he/she is absent.
- Implements and upholds proper Pharmacy and general safety procedures and standards.
- Verifies prescriptions and refills with physician by phone. Selects substitutions when necessary.
- Obtains patient medical history and maintains confidential computer record.
- Checks prescriptions and over the counter medications for drug interactions.
- Counsels patients on proper medication usage. Answers patient questions about over-the-counter medication and product location. Addresses other patient concerns including insurance issues. Preserves patient confidentiality.
- Ensures that proper department procedures and standards are followed. Implements and upholds safety and security procedures; monitors department cleanliness.
