Wake ‘n Bacon located in Lakeview is currently looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible individual to fill the position of COOK. This is a brunch concept with Hispanic, Asian, and American influences.

Work Hours: Sundays through Saturdays usually from 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, or 9am-5pm. Must have weekend open availaiblity.

Location: 420 W. Belmont (off Lake Shore Drive)
Job Responsibilities:
The Cook’s responsibility is to assist the Head Chef in the preparation of daily food used for daily sales and to help cook items. Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prep meats, poultry, produce, and sauces for daily operations
- Cook food at all stations - grill, fryer, saute, etc.
- Clean the kitchen
- Clean Walk-In Coolers and Freezer
- Clean reach-in coolers
- Help wash utensils or equipment needed to do job successfully
- Help maintain food inventory
- Prep all fried foods for storage and use
- Wash dishes as required and clean surrounding areas
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with additional projects as needed
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and orally
- Ability to read English
- Professional overall image and appearance
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years experience as a cook
- Must be friendly, energetic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for providing the ultimate in customer service and quality

Physical Standards:
Our jobs are physically active and often include frequent lifting up to 25 pounds, occasional carry of up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, frequent use of hands, standing continuously, climbing stairs and reaching overhead.
