Job Title: Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated mechanics to join our team in building concrete pumping equipment. You will work under general supervision to read and interpret blueprints, assembling components for build-to-sales order configurations. This role involves performing a wide variety of mechanical assembly duties on prototype units, ensuring quality and precision in every task.
Responsibilities

Obtain work instructions from the Build Book program on the computer to assemble all required parts for scheduled assembly projects.

Follow engineering drawings and bills of materials, requesting parts from the Parts Department as necessary.

Lay out truck details per engineering prints on a job-by-job basis.

Perform final assembly of all units, including hoods, electric systems, lights, and stickers to customer specifications.

Install hydraulic lines and fill them with oil in preparation for required testing.

Prepare trucks for sub-frame assembly by disassembling, measuring, repositioning parts, installing parts, and reassembling the unit.

Test the assembled parts or products to ensure they are functioning properly and are of good quality.

Comply with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Maintain tools and workspace in good condition.

May perform similar or related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills-
Minimum 6 months of hands-on mechanical work experience.

Experience with heavy mechanical equipment is preferred.

Comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds.

Ability to learn blueprints and schematics.

Basic math knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications-
Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge is preferred.

Ownership of personal tools is advantageous.

Work Environment
Work in a modern, clean environment dedicated to new manufacturing, not service work. The facility consists of multiple bays for assembly and sub-assemblies, equipped with computers for parts ordering and blueprint access. The workspace includes a weld shop, paint shop, and warehouse, with eight separate buildings connected by an outdoor yard. The work environment is lively and louder, suited for those who thrive in an active setting. Shift hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
