We are a small, woman owned & operated business looking for someone upbeat and reliable to join our team! Hours will be semi-flexible between our women’s boutique and children’s boutique. Both shops are located in the beautiful West Hartford Center. We are currently hiring for a part time sales associate who wants to grow with us as we expand our company.
Requirements for the open position:
- Retail experience is required, clothing specific retail preferable
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Basic knowledge of POS and cash handling
- Personable and upbeat
- Able to work both in a team and independently
- Able to communicate effectively
- Basic math skills
- Reliable transportation
Basic job information:
- 3-4 full day shifts (7-8 hours each)
- Weekends are required, specifically Saturdays - non negotiable
- Non major holidays are a requirement, no exceptions
- Starting pay is $16.94/hour
- All new hires start out on a 90 day trial period to ensure we are a good match for each other
- This is not a seasonal position, we need someone who can stay on the schedule for the entire year
Day to day tasks:
- Chatting with customers and building relationships
- General upkeep of the store including:
- Refolding and tidying up merchandise
- Restocking items that have been sold
- Dusting, vacuuming, etc
- Checking in and processing deliveries
- Keeping an open line of communication with the manager/owner to ensure the store has essentials such as shopping bags, jewelry boxes, cleaning supplies, etc.
