Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Starlink Field Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting satellite internet systems in various residential and commercial locations. Responsibilities
- Install Starlink satellite dishes and associated hardware at customer sites, ensuring optimal positioning for maximum signal strength
- Perform fiber splicing and network cabling to establish robust internet connections
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, Ethernet networks, telephony systems, and low voltage electrical components
- Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble mounts, brackets, and other installation hardware
- Conduct comprehensive system testing with tools such as ohmmeters to verify electrical continuity and signal quality
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to network installation, cabling, or hardware failures in the field
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all installation activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a field service role within telecommunication or networking industries
- Strong knowledge of fiber splicing, Ethernet cabling, telephony systems, and low voltage electrical wiring
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, network configuration, and computer networking fundamentals
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools effectively for installation tasks
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting with ohmmeters and understanding of electrical safety standards
- Familiarity with telecommunication infrastructure, cabling practices, and low voltage systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues on-site
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
