Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Ice Cream Server to oversee daily ice cream operations and play a key role in ice cream menu creation and ice cream menu innovation. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality and consistency, and is excited by the opportunity to grow the ice cream side of the cafe. In this dynamic role, you’ll have input on ice cream menu, deliver memorable experiences to our guests, and contribute to a lively ice cream environment. Your expertise in food and ice cream preparation, ice cream service, retail transactions, and customer engagement will help create a welcoming space for all visitors. Duties
- Lead day-to-day ice cream operations.
- Train, coach, and support new servers to maintain high standards.
- Ensure consistent quality, speed, and presentation of all ice cream.
- Collaborate with leadership on ice cream menu development.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering related to the ice cream program.
- Uphold Bountiful Greek Cafe standards, service style, and guest experience.
- Operate POS systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Process cash and card payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy in retail math and cash register procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of the Ice Cream area by cleaning equipment, counters, seating areas, and food handling stations regularly
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally
- Handle food safety protocols by following proper food handling and preparation guidelines to ensure health standards are met
- Assist with ice cream preparation tasks as needed, including assembling ingredients for ice cream
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high-quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a Ice Cream Server with strong knowledge of ice cream service and preparation techniques
- Proficiency with POS systems for processing transactions accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong understanding of food and ice cream safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling, retail sales transactions, and inventory management
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Two to three years experience in the ice cream industry environment
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience working in ice cream shops, with high-volume experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ice cream servings and preparation
- Creative interest in ice cream development and menu innovation.
- Ability to take direction, adapt, and implement feedback effectively.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Passion for hospitality and quality ice cream.
