Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Linen Service Specialist to support daily hospital linen operations. This role is responsible for delivering, stocking, inspecting, and transporting clean linen throughout hospital facilities while collecting and organizing soiled linen for laundry processing.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing excellent service in a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Restock linen carts throughout assigned hospital areas according to daily schedules and department requirements.
- Count linen accurately and record inventory information using linen management systems.
- Inspect linen carts and remove damaged, torn, unfolded, or unacceptable linen items.
- Replace rejected linen bags and ensure adequate supplies are available.
- Collect and transport soiled linen from designated collection areas following hospital procedures.
- Deliver empty linen carts to assigned locations.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas by collecting dropped linen, debris, and supplies.
- Safely maneuver linen carts, bins, and equipment throughout hospital facilities.
- Communicate linen shortages, inventory concerns, or operational issues to supervisors and hospital staff.
- Provide professional and respectful customer service when interacting with clinical teams and facility employees.
- Assist with coverage of additional areas or assignments as needed based on staffing requirements.
- Follow all hospital safety policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.
QualificationsRequired:

- Ability to lift, push, pull, and transport linen carts and supplies.
Preferred:
- Previous healthcare, hospital, laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, or inventory experience preferred but not required.
