Remote Telehealth Position – California
Job Type: Per Diem, Remote Telehealth
Pay: $35.00–$40.00 per completed psychotherapy session + $20.00/hour for supervision, meetings, and administrative duties
Expected Caseload: 20+ active clients within approximately 1–3 months, subject to market conditions, referral volume, clinician availability, and client demand.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
- $35–$40 per completed 60-minute psychotherapy session
- Sessions typically consist of approximately 53–55 minutes of direct client care and 5–7 minutes for clinical documentation (AI-assisted notes)
- $20 per hour for:
- Clinical supervision
- Staff meetings
- Required administrative tasks
- Other assigned non-clinical duties

Caseload Expectations
This is a per diem position and hours are not guaranteed. Client referrals and scheduling volume are influenced by market conditions, insurance demand, client preferences, clinician availability, and other business factors.
While Zealous Therapy actively markets and supports clinician caseload growth, we cannot guarantee a specific number of referrals, sessions, clients, or income.
Associate clinicians hired into this role are expected to actively participate in building and maintaining their caseload and should be prepared to grow to a minimum ongoing caseload of approximately 20 active clients.
Applicants should expect to maintain at least 15–20 available appointment slots per week while building their caseload.
For clinicians who maintain consistent availability and scheduling flexibility, the anticipated timeframe to reach a full caseload is generally 1–3 months, although individual results may vary based on market conditions and client demand.
Clinicians who offer evening and/or weekend availability typically build their caseloads more quickly due to increased client demand during those hours.

Qualifications
- Active California Associate registration (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC) in good standing
- Eligible to provide telehealth services throughout California
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while receiving supervision and consultation
- Commitment to timely documentation and professional standards
- Reliable internet connection and private workspace suitable for telehealth
- Experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and related mental health conditions preferred
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
