Responsibilities

- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management strategies, behavior management techniques, and engaging teaching methods.
- Utilize educational technology tools and learning technology platforms to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, adjusting instruction accordingly to support academic growth in literacy, math, and other core subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and sharing best practices to ensure consistency and high-quality education across classrooms.
- Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates on student performance, behavior, and development via parent-teacher conferences and written reports.
- Support students with special education needs or those requiring early intervention by implementing tailored strategies and working closely with specialists when necessary.
- Incorporate standards for educational compliance and regulation understanding into daily teaching practices while maintaining high expectations for all students.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, Montessori methods, or other educational approaches such as private school standards.
- Participate in school activities such as tutoring sessions, extracurricular programs, or school events that promote community involvement.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience teaching elementary school students, particularly in third grade or similar early childhood settings.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that aligns with state standards and standardized testing requirements.
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs populations is highly desirable.
- Strong background in literacy education, math instruction, behavior management, and early childhood development principles.
- Familiarity with educational technology integration tools such as learning management systems (LMS), digital assessment platforms, or interactive whiteboards.
- Prior experience mentoring or collaborating with fellow teachers to enhance instructional strategies and classroom practices.
- Knowledge of special education laws, educational compliance regulations, and best practices for differentiated instruction is preferred.
- Ability to analyze student performance data effectively to inform instructional decisions and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Experience working in private schools or Montessori environments adds valuable insight into diverse educational philosophies.
