Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to be a part of our growing design team! Responsibilities will include leading Phase I and II transportation projects for IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, municipalities, INDOT, and/or WISDOT. The right candidate will have exceptional design and project management skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications while ensuring design accuracy and compliance with standards, codes, and acceptable engineering practices
- Roadway geometrics
- Develop maintenance of traffic plans
- Stormwater conveyance and detention design
- Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
- Barrier warrant analysis
- Soil erosion and sediment control / SWPPP
- Earthwork cross sections and mass grading
- Corridor and 3D Terrain Modeling
- Knowledge of IDOT, ISTHA, various municipalities standards and specifications
- Understand and apply client and industry engineering specifications to projects
- Interact with client’s management and engineering department to successfully deliver project
Education and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 15-20+ years of experience
- Professional License in Illinois
- Certifications or classes with IDOT and ISTHA such as Document Controls, Erosion Sediment, ADA Ramp, eBuilder, etc.
- Knowledge of MicroStation and 3-D corridor modeling, AutoCAD, OpenRoads Designer
- Strong understanding of construction and engineering practices
- Demonstrate a proactive, collaborative approach with team members, client representative, and review agencies

Pay: $96,870.95 - $105,028.96 per year
