ASC Administrator – Pain Management Surgery Center
Northeast Rehab is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Administrator to lead the daily operations of our newly established ASC specializing in pain management procedures. The Administrator will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, quality outcomes, and an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of ASC operations, including clinical, administrative, and regulatory functions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH), OSHA, HIPAA, and infection prevention standards.
- Serve as the facility's primary regulatory liaison and coordinate all licensing, certification, accreditation, and survey activities.
- Maintain survey readiness and oversee corrective action plans, policy development, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
- Assist with financial planning, resource allocation, purchasing, and capital equipment recommendations to support the Center's strategic and operational goals.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical leadership, and the Governing Board to achieve organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
- Direct quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) activities and risk management programs.
- Ensure a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment of care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in an ambulatory surgery center, outpatient surgical facility, healthcare facility administration, or related healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated experience with ASC licensing, certification, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and survey preparation.
- Experience interacting with state Departments of Health, CMS surveys, accreditation organizations, and regulatory agencies strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations, healthcare regulations, quality improvement, infection prevention, and risk management principles.
- Strong operational leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership abilities.
Licensure: Clinical licensure (RN or other healthcare license) is welcome but not required. Candidates with significant ASC administrative and regulatory experience will be considered.
