We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven Marketing Director to lead and execute our marketing strategy with a sharp focus on digital innovation and AI-powered marketing. This is a player/coach role The ideal candidate brings a life sciences background, a passion for emerging AI marketing tools, and the confidence to operate independently while elevating those around them.
The Role
- Drive the marketing strategy, from brand positioning to demand generation
- Lead, mentor, and collaborate with a marketing professional, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
- Bring your curiosity to apply AI-driven marketing tools and technologies to optimize Innovative Research’s website and analytics
- Drive digital marketing programs across web, e-ckommerce, SEO/SEM, email, social media, paid media, and marketing automation platforms
- Translate complex life sciences or technical concepts into compelling, audience-appropriate messaging
- Own key performance metrics and report on marketing ROI to senior leadership
- Serve as a thought leader internally on AI marketing trends and best practices
- Partner cross-functionally with Customer Service, Sales, Product, and Leadership to align marketing efforts with business goals
- Engages and supports a robust distribution network around the globe
- Comfortable setting and owning the Marketing budget
What You Bring (Required)
- 8+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior individual contributor role
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing strategy and execution (SEO/SEM, paid media, email, social, content)
- Highly collaborative and participative with cross-functional teams
- Handson experience with AI marketing tools (e.g., generative AI for content, predictive analytics, AI-driven personalization platforms)
- Background in life sciences, biotech, pharma, or healthcare marketing strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead and develop team members who are experienced and self-directed
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive marketing decisions
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy
Nice to Haves (Preferred)
- Experience with Klaviyo, NetSuite and Shopify
- Experience scaling marketing at a growth-stage company
