The Opportunity: Launch or Advance Your Pharmacy Career with Unmatched Flexibility
Are you a recent pharmacy technician graduate eager to gain diverse, real-world experience? Or are you a seasoned technician tired of a rigid schedule and looking for autonomy? Join our team of relief professionals and discover a better way to work.
As a member of the Seattle Pharmacy Relief team, you will enjoy:
- Premium Compensation: We offer a top-tier hourly rate that reflects the skilled, flexible nature of relief work. This higher pay structure is in lieu of traditional benefits (like health insurance or retirement plans), giving you more cash-in-hand and control over your finances.
- Ultimate Flexibility: You control your schedule. Accept assignments that fit your life, whether you want to work one day a week or five. This is the perfect role for those balancing school, family, or other commitments.
- Diverse Experience: This is the best way to accelerate your learning! Gain invaluable experience by working in a variety of settings, including independent retail pharmacies, hospital outpatient clinics, and chain pharmacies. Each assignment is a chance to learn a new system and a new workflow.
- Focus on Patient Care: Leave the corporate politics behind. Your role is to step in and provide seamless, high-quality patient care and support to our pharmacy partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient interaction, answering questions and triaging issues appropriately.
- Operate various pharmacy management software systems for prescription entry, billing, and inventory management.
- Assist with inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and returning medications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace.
- Adhere strictly to all state and federal laws, regulations, and pharmacy policies and procedures.
Who You Are: Core Requirements
- License: Must hold an active, valid, and unrestricted Washington State Pharmacy Technician License.
- Unwavering Reliability: Our pharmacy partners depend on our team to be there as scheduled. Impeccable punctuality, a strong work ethic, and a professional commitment to fulfilling accepted assignments are absolutely essential.
- Professional Liability Insurance: Must be willing to obtain and maintain an individual professional liability insurance policy to augment our company's coverage. (We offer a reimbursement program for this—see details below!)
- Positive & Adaptable Attitude: You must be able to learn quickly and integrate seamlessly with new teams, workflows, and pharmacy software. A can-do attitude is key!
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to assignments within your designated service area.
Preferred Qualifications (What Makes You Stand Out):
- National Certification (CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA).
- Experience with multiple pharmacy management systems (e.g., Rx30, EnterpriseRx, PioneerRx, Epic).
- Experience in non-sterile compounding.
