The Senior Project Manager (SPM) represents the Veridus Owner’s Representative Group and serves as the primary
client contact for projects. Building on the Project Manager role, the SPM manages projects with greater
independence from the Project Executive while also supervising and mentoring Project Managers and Assistant
Project Managers. This role balances direct project delivery with leadership responsibilities, ensuring alignment
with client goals, budget, and schedule, while reinforcing Veridus’ mission, vision, and values.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Lead the development, monitoring, and execution of project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
2. Anticipate risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve complex project challenges.
3. Direct construction oversight efforts, review change orders, and ensure compliance with contractual
obligations.
4. Maintain quality, safety, and performance standards across all project phases.
5. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
6. Lead project presentations, public forums, and stakeholder meetings.
7. Build long-term client relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and trust.
8. Supervise Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, delegating tasks, setting expectations, and
monitoring performance.
9. Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to staff.
10. Promote a collaborative, accountable, and innovative team culture.
11. Lead and contribute to proposal writing, interviews, and pursuit strategies for new projects.
12. Support the Project Executive and leadership team in growing the Owner’s Representative practice.
13. Model and reinforce Veridus’ culture, mission, and values in all engagements.
14. Ensure timely and accurate reporting, project documentation, timesheet submission, and expense tracking.
15. Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making under pressure.
16. Ability to travel regularly between project sites and safely operate a motor vehicle as part of essential job
functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Education, Skills and Experience
Education
1. A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required; equivalent
professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
2. Advanced degrees are preferred and/or encouraged
3. Professional designations preferred
Experience
1. At least 7-10 years of experience in management or similar disciplines
2. History of leadership positions in non-work related activities (ie. non-profits, board positions, volunteer, etc.)
