**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work with clients with mental health diagnoses and will be dedicated to providing high-quality behavioral care. The Behavior Technician will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
**Duties:**
- Implement behavioral interventions and strategies in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with licensed therapists and other team members to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Provide direct support to individuals with mental health diagnoses and other special needs, including those with addiction and co-occurring disorders.
- Utilize social work skills to engage with clients and families, providing emotional support and education on behavioral interventions.
- Observe medication pass, if necessary, under the supervision of a qualified medical professional.
- Maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress notes, and data collection, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and medical terminology guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment, ABA, special education, and PTSD care.
- Promote a supportive and therapeutic environment that fosters growth, independence, and self-advocacy among clients.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to special education or social work, such as Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or Special Education.
- Basic knowledge of mental health conditions and common treatments.
- Computer skills to enter information into health information software system..
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
- Ability to work with individuals with varying levels of support needs and behavioral challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, families, and team members.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.
- Minimum one year of experience working at a mental health residential facility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
