Job purpose
Packing Associate will be responsible for producing consistent, safe and quality products and maintaining our quality standard inventory for compliance and organization. You must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences, in order to provide best in class service.

Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain log of raw materials
- Read and interpret production schedules and fill purchase orders as they arrive
- Fill out and record work performed on proper batch information sheets
- Sign off on operator logs
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
- Assist in cleaning at the end of the day
- Wash and sanitize all equipment
- Maintain company quality control standards
- Adhere to compliance standards per CRA and State of Michigan guidelines
- Maintain and follow facility policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Maintain and follow facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate ability to run, disassemble, clean, and reassemble packaging equipment
- Demonstrate accurately and thoroughly in a timely manner to meet production standards
- Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity
- Uphold highest standard of quality of finished product through employing attention to detail
- Able to work weekends and off hours
- Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a background check in compliance with CRA standards
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Additional duties and cross-training based on buisness needs
- Company paid ServSafe certification and training
Working conditions
- This position performs duties in a manufacturing/food safety setting.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull and or move up to 25 pounds
- Required to sit or stand and regularly use hand(s) to handle, grasp, feel, and/or touch packaging or other packaging related materials or equipment
- Required to bend, stretch, squat, walk, climb, twist, lift, grip, stand, and push/pull when handling boxes, packaging materials or miscellaneous equipment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
