Teams rotate schedules every 6 months.
Position Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional Unarmed Patrol Security Officers to join our patrol division. Officers will work closely with a Patrol Lieutenant while following assigned patrol routes and client-specific post orders.
This position requires officers to patrol multiple properties using a company vehicle, maintain detailed reports, and provide professional customer service while ensuring the safety and security of client properties.
Experience using TrackTik security software is a plus but not required.
Pay & Training
- Training Rate: $15.00/hour
- Regular Patrol Rate: $19.00/hour after successful completion of training and FTO
Paid Training Includes:
- One-week Security Training Academy
- Classroom instruction required to apply for a Utah Guard Card
- 5-Day Field Training Officer (FTO) Program with assigned patrol team
The company provides the required classroom training hours for the Utah Guard Card; however, the cost of obtaining the license is the responsibility of the employee.
Additional Pay Incentives
Pay raises available for:
- Spanish speaking ability
- CPR Certification
- EMT Certification
- Paramedic Certification
Additional performance/pay raises are available every 6 months up to the 2-year mark.
Responsibilities
- Follow assigned patrol routes and client post orders
- Work under the direction of the Patrol Lieutenant
- Conduct mobile patrols using company vehicles
- Complete accurate incident and activity reports
- Monitor properties and report suspicious activity
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and the public
- Respond professionally to incidents and emergencies
- Maintain communication with dispatch and supervisors
- Utilize TrackTik software for patrol documentation
Safe Driving Standards
Because this position involves operating a company vehicle, officers are expected to:
- Obey all traffic laws and company driving policies
- Drive defensively and professionally at all times
- Avoid distracted driving, including cell phone use while driving
- Immediately report any vehicle damage, accidents, or safety concerns
- Maintain a clean and safe company vehicle
Unsafe driving or repeated traffic violations may result in disciplinary action or termination.
Grooming & Uniform Standards
Officers are expected to maintain a professional appearance at all times, including:
- Clean and complete uniform
- Proper hygiene and grooming
- Uniform shirts tucked in and equipment properly worn
- No excessive or offensive jewelry/accessories
- Professional demeanor while representing the company
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Have a clean driving record
- Have no felony convictions
- Be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Be drug free (medical marijuana card exceptions considered in accordance with applicable laws)
- Be able to obtain a Utah Guard Card
- Be dependable, professional, and willing to learn
