Laboratory Technician Internship
A growing manufacturing company located in Latrobe, PA. We are A leading manufacturer of fire-resistant & specialty foam products for over 35 years. Paid Internship available in the technical support of operations through daily laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process production as well as the final product to ensure quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Daily QC Testing on incoming raw materials
- Daily QC Testing on vendor supplied materials
- Daily QC Testing on final production materials
- Assist in maintaining records of all laboratory testing
- Assist in the completion of sample shop orders
- Assist in all facets of research and development testing
- Assist Product Development when needed
- Provide testing data to the Operations Department upon request
- Assist Lab Manager with disposal of old chemicals
- Ensure the maintenance and proper calibration of laboratory equipment
- Root cause analysis of customer rejected/returned materials through testing as required
- Viscosity, % solids and pH testing as well as record keeping of all Compounding batches
- Responsible for the testing of all JL orders
- Qualification of impregnated slab stock materials
- Modified - Support Molded Polyurethane testing
- Maintain records of all laboratory testing via the Technical Report (TR) files.
- Perform Quality Assurance Department Inspector responsibilities.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager
